Teens - we invite you to join the award winning Gahanna Youth Council!
Come be a part of our great group! We are now planning TeenFest 2010, as well as other fun activities for young people.
If you are in grades 9-12 and a Gahanna resident, attend one of our meetings and check out all we have going on! We meet Wednesdays from 3 pm-4:30 pm at Gahanna City Hall. If you would like more information about the group, just show up at the meetings or email Shannon at shannon.clonch@gahanna.gov

C.O.R.E – Creating Opportunities through Recreation Experiences
This nine week progressive program is designed to foster youth development through
recreation experiences.
Participants will spend Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Camp Friendship
creating, facilitating, and leading camp activities. Tuesdays and Thursdays will be spent at Hunters
Ridge Pool learning the basic leadership skills associated with lifeguarding and applicable to
everyday experiences. In addition to these components, participants will spend afternoons taking
fieldtrips and performing service projects.

C.O.R.E. Scholarships
The Department of Parks & Recreation is proud to offer scholarships for C.O.R.E., funded by the
Gahanna Parks & Recreation Foundation. Scholarships can help make C.O.R.E. more accessible by
partially covering the cost for residents who qualify.Families are eligible if they participate in the free/reduced school lunch program.
