Safe Routes To School Projects
Safe Routes to School (SRTS) programs are sustained efforts by parents, schools, community leaders and local, state, and federal governments to improve the health and well-being of children by enabling and encouraging them to walk and bicycle to school.
The City is always striving to meet the needs of our community, and increase safety whenever possible. Over the years, community residents have indicated in public surveys and meetings that connectivity to parks, facilities, schools, businesses, and community activities are of high importance to the growth of the community and quality of life of our residents. Gahanna has received Safe Routes to Schools (SRTS) funding to meet some of those needs.
