Do you take photographs? Amateur photographers are invited to submit photographs taken at Gahanna Department of Parks & Recreation events, programs or park locations between June 1 and December 31, 2008. Photography from each category and age group will be displayed at Art in the Halls in Gahanna City Hall in April, 2009.
CONTEST DATES: Photos taken between January 1 and December 31, 2008 are eligible.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Friday, January 11, 2009.
CATEGORIES:
Action - Things in motion
Close-up - Closeup of people, places or things
Portrait - Focus on a person
Landscape/Outdoor - nature photography
Thematic - series of at least three photographs depicting a theme or action
AGE GROUPS:
Youth – 8th grade and under
Adult – 9th grade and over.
CONTEST RULES and SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Each age group has specific submission guidelines. Contest Rules and a Photo Contest Submission Form will be available after January 1, 2008.
These spring park tours are a spinoff from the Nature in the Park fall series. Join us as our staff leads you, your family, and friends on guided walks through various parks on afternoon nature hikes. Our staff will be able to help answer your nature questions and share more about the Gahanna ecosystems surrounding your home.
