The Gahanna Parks & Recreation Board is now accepting nominations for its annual Service to the Community Award. We are excited to announce that this year’s recipients will be recognized at the 2010 Service to the Community Awards event.
To enhance and preserve parks and recreation services, lands, and facilities through high standards and
innovation that positions Gahanna as a leading community and a great place to live, work and play.
To conserve the natural environment through parks and open space as well as provide balanced, sustainable
and accessible recreation opportunities and facilities.
Is your troop, organization or business looking for ways to serve the community? Are you an individual in need of community service opportunities? A family that would like to do something to spruce up their neighborhood or favorite park? Gahanna Parks
Explore our over 700 acres of parkland and reserves! Gahanna offers over 20 Parks which include over
50 sporting event fields, picnic shelters, paddle boat marina, skate rink and a variety of playground attractions.
Gahanna Facilities
The Gahanna Department of Parks & Recreation maintains a number of facilities for recreation, fitness and
family activities.
The Gahanna Senior Center offers senior activities including transportation,
social activities and events.
The Ohio Herb Education Center is located in Gahanna, Ohio’s
Herb Capital, and is Ohio’s center for educating about the cultivation and use of cooking and medicinal herbs.
The Gahanna Municipal Golf Course is a well-groomed USGA member, 9-hole Golf Course with pro
shop and clubhouse.
Aquatics facilities, the Hunters Ridge Pool and the Gahanna Swimming Pool are seasonal outdoor pool and recreation facilities. A full range of amenities are available, including diving boards, rentable party shelters, consession stands, and adjacent playgrounds.
Purchase your Family, Couple, Single, or Senior Membership at either pool location or at the Department of Parks & Recreation office at 200 S. Hamilton Road, Gahanna.
In addition to the Golf Course Clubhouse, there are three park shelters available to rent for parties,
